We were contacted by the clients who wished to refurbish and redesign some elements of an existing house and garden on Dunmore Road in Waterford City.
The clients wanted to make more effective use of the house, while infusing the home with their own sense of identity and place.
In order to achieve the desired open plan layout, we had to remove some old downstand beams and ensure the ceiling was all at one level. In order to positively influence the quality of living and maximize energy efficiency, all windows and doors were replaced with a high-quality timber/Aluclad units. Our clients opted for a modern but cosy style in the house interior.
To echo the new, renovated bungalow, the garden was also treated to a new look that allowed the resident to take greater advantage of interior-exterior synergies. The small garden was refurbished and patio area was repaved with natural grey limestone slabs that give a calm, contemporary look.
